Veronica Hemphill, MS.Ed, MA, LPC

Veronica (she/her/hers) is a therapist with a diverse background working with children, athletes, young adults, and adults. Veronica is committed to creating a compassionate, supportive, and client-centered environment for her clients, helping them navigate life's challenges and build emotional resilience.

Veronica is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor with an M.S.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Illinois University and a certificate in trauma-informed counseling. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, college students, athletes, and adults, helping clients navigate life transitions, build emotional resilience, and overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress.

Veronica also has hands-on experience in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for children, where she worked directly with clients and collaborated closely with parents. This experience strengthened her expertise in trauma-informed care, parent coaching, and crisis management, allowing her to provide holistic support for families and individuals navigating complex emotional challenges.

She tailors therapy to each client using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, trauma-informed techniques, and strengths-based methods. Mindfulness and meditation practices are incorporated to foster emotional regulation, self-awareness, and healthy coping skills—all within a nurturing and empathetic environment.

Drawing from over 10 years of experience as a coach in cheerleading and gymnastics, and as a former Division 1 collegiate cheerleader, Veronica understands the unique pressures athletes face. She partners with athletes to develop mental resilience, focus, confidence, and balance.

Outside of work, Veronica enjoys traveling, hiking, and staying active, often spending time outdoors with her husband and their Bernese Mountain Dog.

Veronica is committed to creating a collaborative, supportive space where clients of all ages—including children, college students, and adults—can build confidence, heal from past trauma, and navigate life’s transitions with strength and resilience.
